240Z's for saleGTi-VR6_A3 06-02-2003, 09:26 PM http://www.backroadsracing.com/images/240z/ waht do you guys think? should i go for one of em, and if so which one seems best? also do any of you know how insurance is? feedback please -GTi-VR6_A3 Layla's Keeper 06-02-2003, 09:45 PM For $950, they're both a steal. The white one will need a bit more TLC because of the driveline, but is also more tuned. The green one is in better mechanical shape, just needs some brightening and a good set of Panasport, RS Watanabe, Libra, or Minilite wheels plus the windshield to be a real barnstormer. Insurance would not be as much as you'd think. It'd be more than your Volvo, naturally, but if you go with someone like Grundy Collectors Insurance you'll pay something on the order of $250 a year for full coverage and unlimited mileage. As for modifications for more speed, find a set of three Mikuni 40mm/Solex 40mm/Weber DCOE 40mm side-draft carbs to wake the L24 up. That's a possible 350hp streetable engine with gobs of torque and a ton of fun to be had. BUY IT!!! 2strokebloke 06-02-2003, 09:50 PM Personally I'd rather have a '72 SAAb 96 - but I'm just wacky that way. Buying somebody else's project is usually not a bad idea - most of the time they have already done all the hard work, you just have to take off the rough edges. Just make sure to take your time and check them out carefully if you do end up buying them. Layla's Keeper 06-02-2003, 09:51 PM Saab 96????? C'mon. You know you'd rather feel the thunderous V4 power of a Sonnet! :D GTi-VR6_A3 06-02-2003, 10:02 PM i'd like the sonnet and the 96 actually as wellas a mgbgt but these two guys have presented themselves to me. thanx for your help -GTi-VR6_A3 2strokebloke 06-02-2003, 10:22 PM No, if I was going with a Sonnet, I'd rather have the unleashed raw power that a triple-carbed 2-stroke slant inline three can provide! 2-stroke power! Anyway, the Zs look like a pretty fair deal - I'd probably take them. GTi-VR6_A3 06-02-2003, 10:24 PM i personally dont really wanna deal with 2 of them so of the 2 which would you reccomend? -GTi-VR6_A3 2strokebloke 06-02-2003, 10:37 PM Personally, I'd take the green one - I like green. But you should check out BOTH before making your final decision. mynismo 06-03-2003, 12:17 AM the green one does look better. for $950 that's aweosme vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
