92 camry 2.2 auto. Intermittent no spark so i checked the rotor cap coil ignitor all checked out ok. i then noticed that when i tried to start the car that the MIL was not on (KOEO) when i cycle the key the MIL will sometimes come on! When the car does start it runs fine and does not die. All fuses are ok the EFI and main fuses and relay are ok. im thinking that intermittently there is no power to the ECU. has anyone seen this before? Any help would be appreciated thx

When the CEL comes on, the code is stored in the ECU and is retained even when the fault is no longer detected. Search this forum for how to use a jumper wire to retrieve the code(s). Then report back.

There could be a bad ground somewhere, but not necessarily for the ECU. Could be a failing ignition coil, distrbutor condenser, or arcing to ground through the spark plug wire (also had this happen with a replacement set of Bosch plug wires...search for it).
