Here is the answer to your question, but it looks like you will
have to take it to the dealer since the Fobs have to be programmed
with a scan tool.

Transmitter Programming
Transmitter Programming

Important
All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.

Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Use the scan tool in order to access the Body Control Module (BCM) Special Function: Program Key Fobs.
Press the START soft key on the scan tool.

Important
The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.

Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of 5-10 seconds, the locks will cycle in order to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
Repeat the previous step in order to program up to 4 transmitters.
Remove the scan tool.
Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.

There's a manual method of programming keyless entry transmitters also. Make sure that you have all the transmitters you want to be able to use handy because the system will have to "learn" each one, even if they already worked before. If you have the memory seat/radio/mirror option you'll need to program the remote for 'driver 1' first, then 'driver 2', then up to 2 others. Here's how to do it:
1. Close the vehicle doors.
2. Turn OFF the ignition.
3. Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
4. Press and hold the driver side door lock switch to the unlock position.
5. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
6. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and remove the key. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.)
7. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. (Do not turn the ignition key in the lock cylinder.) Leave the ignition key in the ignition lock cylinder.
8. Release the door lock switch. The body control module (BCM) will sound three beeps in order to verify the Program Mode has been activated.
9. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the keyless entry transmitter simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds . The BCM will sound two beeps in order to verify that the transmitter has been successfully programmed.
10. Perform the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
11. Remove the ignition key in order to exit the Program Mode.
12. Verify the proper operation of each transmitter.

Thanks again from me also. The manual programing instructions worked great on my 2002 CXL.

I found out I only needed to repeat (step 10), to program additional remotes.

What you really mean is that you need to do what step 10 says, which is repeat step 9.

Will the following procedure also work for the 2005 Rendezvous?

It should if your remote has FCC: L2C0007T.
