radio wont turn on

i installed a kenwood ddx-319 in my 2002 pontiac grand am. all wires are connected and i can tell power is going to the unit because the security light flashes. but nothing will come on the screen and nothing else will work. could someone give me some help with figuring out the issue..thanks

For the security light, the one in the dash? or one on the radio? If one on the radio then look in your radio manual for how to activate the unit. If no manual... good luck, get a new unit.

If the dash light.. Faulty install.

Where did you took your accessory wire? Did you bought a chime module? if not you might really consider to buy one... else good luck to find an accessory wire.
