i have a 2003 grand am gt i recently just bought and recently just took the stock radio out and installed my indash cd/dvd player in, but now i have a little buzzin noise!! i think it is alternator noise coming through the stereo? the buzzin goes up and down when i give it gas. I have installed tons of systems over the years and NEVER not once have i had to deal with something like this!

I have not even installed my amp yet!! this is going to be a serious issue if i cannot get this fixed!!

its not a loud buzz, just loud enough where you can here it tho

any advise would be great

Thank you

Sounds like normal interference but I could be wrong.

Also there is a good possibility it's not grounded well...

i think i am gonna unhook the ground from the radio that connects to the chime and ground the radio to the chassis and see what happens

First thing I thought of was the ground. If direct to the chassis doesn't help, I would try the stereo in another vehicle (if it's possible) to see if it's something not grounded well in the deck itself. Good luck.

DO ground to the frame. Can very well be THE issue. Beside, you'll gain half a volt or more. Stock ground points are known to be really bad.
