Messed Up my Radio doing Unlock after Battery died

I have a 99 grand am gt.

Followed the instructions to unlock the rradio after dead battery. Ive done it a few times.

Hit the codes and SEC popped up like it should then it froze. The only problem is that I did it with the car running and i should have just done it with the key in the on position.

So i turned off car and restarted and the radio screen is just BLANK. The theft lock light keeps blinking but nothing. wont turn on, no error codes. Nothing.

Can I fix this?

Let the car sit for at least 1hr, then turn key to "on" with eng off and try the unlock proceedure again. You may need to disconnect and reconnect the battey again also. Let it sit for an hour first though and see if you can repeat the unlock.

I would be checking power and ground to the radio.....


TheftLock has nothing to do with a blank screen.......


Makes no difference if the car was running or not.....
