Any Street Racing in your areaDonham 06-01-2003, 11:38 AM How is the street racing going in your area? none? light? mediocore? heavy??? I know New York, LA, Philly, Chicago, Detroit, etc and a few other large cities have it go on every night by the 100's What about mid sized towns, from 80,000 pop to 1,00,000 popualtion. Say midwest towns, like St. Lous Mos, Cincinatti, Colubis, Cleavlenad OH., Lansing, Grand Rapids Mi, Grannbay, Milwalkee, WI. Indianapolis IN. Mid Illlionois towns, What about smaller towns with 40,000 to 60,000 people, any action? I live in a town with 60,000 poeple (Terre Haute IN.) (100,00 county) just 71 miles west of Indy, back in the mid 1980's it was easy to find a run.. but now a days I have to drive around an hour sometimes just to find someone to run.. doesn't matter if the car is from USA, Japan, Gemany, or even the freaken planet Mars. have to go to Indy to see (more) mediocore action, but it's been 3 yrs since my land cruse night there. What is it like in your area,? scott Venger10 06-01-2003, 12:38 PM Generally never had any problems finding any races. Lotta Honda's everywhere think they got game. Til I show them the power of TURBO:finger: . Polygon 06-01-2003, 12:59 PM Not really much here. Most of the cars around here are slow. I have never lost a race since moving here. JewbaccaGTP 06-01-2003, 02:38 PM I have heard that here in Chicago we have lots of races, but I can hardly ever find anyone to race me. I think a lot of people must think I'm jokin' when my "grocery getter" revs... Don't know how to hook up with people who organize the shit, either. They don't exactly advertise. Scott 02 06-01-2003, 02:43 PM There is more show off than races were i live. I have never seen a race before or have ever heard were they are held. People think they got something when all they have is a cold air intake, decals and muffler. TheRebirth 06-01-2003, 02:44 PM most of the cars here are slow needa go to the bay area for some real action DomesticRicer 06-01-2003, 03:57 PM I live in a town of about 100,000 people in East Texas. Its real easy to find a race, specially on the main street, Broadway. And there are fast cars here, more then just a few that are 11/12 secs or better. mynismo 06-01-2003, 05:01 PM kinda slow cars around where i live but their getting better. used to be just a bunch of ricers but i see in the last 6 mo. or so they are getting much faster, mostly 13 or so sec cars here. kinda hard to find a race... not many cars here... Jetts 06-01-2003, 05:04 PM i live in a pretty big city used to be races right behind my house went to them since i was like 12 now they are infested with cops and we just drive around all night wishin it was like the good old days 90gs 06-01-2003, 05:23 PM i live in Grass Valley, CA (small town.. 11,800 population) and theres only redlight racing, town is too small for any organized racing... but if you go about 55 minutes west to Sacramento, CA there is tons of racing. a lot of my friends go every weekend friday and saturday night and they say it goes from about 10pm-2am. if you are in the sacramento area go to Krispy Kreme donuts at about 10pm-2am on Sunrise and Greenback and theres tons of racing KrNxRaCer00 06-01-2003, 11:49 PM hrmm...most of the cars aren't anything THAT Impressive, but for the most part, they are low 14's-mid 15's. go down to auburn (bout an hour drive) an u'll see bout 250-300 cars, w/ some quicker. for the most part, there aren't any FAST cars, jus quick ones. 90gs 06-02-2003, 03:40 AM friend of mine has a 86 mustang 5.0 that he has run 10.12 with and his girlfriend ran, get this, 9.6. he said hes gotten it to do a wheelie for 60 ft. its such a sleeper... besides the RUMBLING flowmasters and the cowl hood it looks totally stock (grandma rims :P and bad looking paint job) 2of9 06-02-2003, 08:08 PM i live in the suburbs (29,000 ppl) ALL of the ppl there jus wanna be street racers, but some r real ones. where i go street racin, there are lots of ricers...LOTS of ricers. StrokerStang347 06-02-2003, 08:16 PM the only people that race me around is is morons who think they can beat me with thier lil 4 cyls and 6's... and ocasionally i get a v-8 race me... beat a stingray vette the other day... and a supra turbo it was quite fun pissing both of them off...:silly2: LSR 06-04-2003, 08:18 AM I actually live in London, near a motorway, and every night I heard cars going fast and shifting (and all the other sounds, such as BOVs, turbos etc :p ), and the fact that there are loadsa fast cars near my house that aren't riced out (Skylines, Supras, Evos, STis) makes for some awesome racing going on :) Man I love living here :) mynismo 06-04-2003, 09:36 AM Originally posted by StrokerStang347 the only people that race me around is is morons who think they can beat me with thier lil 4 cyls and 6's... that would be people like me :flipa: if you wanna see some ricers come to parma, haha they are loaded over there. body kits, paint jobs, rims.... nothing to the engine. it's sad, but im glad they're there because they make me look fast Pizzle00 06-06-2003, 12:53 PM Here in houston you have racers everywhere.....some have just the looks and nothing to back it up (ricers) but most of us have some serious speed going on. We have alot of organized racing areas with people gathering in the hundreds to see some nice 1/4 mile races. I love living here !!!!!!!!!!!!:sun: TheDoktor 06-06-2003, 01:57 PM There are a LOT of really fast cars around here, but none get actually driven. A quick hour drive around town and you can see several ferraris, vipers, porsches are EVERYWHERE inc. some nice Gemballas, the occasional Aston Martin, a few Z-8s, lots of z-06s, NSX, etc etc etc. Getting one of them to actually race? Good luck. I've had a few good light to light runs in my S2000 and my Harley F-150, but in general no one wants to play. I guess the problem is that most of the people around here buy them because some magazine said that's what they're supposed to buy to be "in fashion" and to show how well they're doing, not because they actually enjoy performance. Sort of like soccer moms demanding 4x4 SUVs in the sunbelt. Scott 02 06-06-2003, 05:24 PM The only fast cars around here are the Mustang Cobras people have decked out. One kid took me a ride in his 95 Cobra. Dynoed at 650HP! All the other shit around here is Honda Civics, Accords, Some Integras, S-10's........ sweetcav201 06-06-2003, 11:57 PM street racing...... hmmm ohh that's the thing that never happens IN PITTSBURGH!!!! i'm moving to japan where they have real street races! 2of9 06-07-2003, 12:19 AM  where i live, THERE ARE TO MANY RICERS!!! they all look fast, i live in minnesota, we need Supra TT and the real racers, too much ricers Self 06-07-2003, 12:19 AM Really? You need to make the trip to Philly then! The street racing scene there is HUGE! Jetts 06-07-2003, 02:59 AM there are alot of fast cars here in phx but no one races anymore or atleast not in my area it was over ran with cops ohwell lol SiXPuSHA 06-07-2003, 09:09 AM There are a few races that you hear around here. But if you want organized, and more competition you have to go to rockville, where the money is ;) . People probably wouldnt take my 626 ES (v6) seriously. Im gonna start going over there once i get my headers, cat back, and maybe a test-pipe :bandit: where i live, THERE ARE TO MANY RICERS!!! Same here dude, it sucks. From camaro RS's with type "RX" decals, to stock 80's model civics with HUGE mugen stickers in their windows, to stock accords n civics with 1 and a half foot wings. I haven't been in a couple weeks now though, mostly because of the weather and because of being busy. I'll probably be there this coming Thursday though, if Ican get my car put back together and running, and if the weather is nice. Were you around when New Carrolton aka Metro aka 50 aka MLK was around? That was HUGE. 200+ cars every Friday and Saturday. It's shut down permanently now though, since the police put speed bumps all up and down the road:( SiXPuSHA 06-08-2003, 11:25 AM Sweet! New smilies :iceslolan . I wont be there this thursday b/c my senior class gets back from orlando. I've been over there before but that last time I was on a date, so we just passed thru :bigthumb: . I dont wanna go over there quite yet until I get the new paint, and some more mods (dont wanna look like a poser) lol. My 6 has a beater image right now, in need of new paint and body work  g0stx 06-09-2003, 10:42 AM I live out near dirty worcester MA, and yeah, we have raceing.. The cops only are cracking down within the general city itself, so we go to the outskirts to meet up and stage races.. Have a perfect 2 lane 1/4 mile track that ppl have been racing on forever.. Most of the cars that know about this place are from chicken racing or STR, and both groups have cars that run 10's (I wish mine did).. I can never get them on a road track tho ;) Its mad organized and setup to be as safe as street racing can get (EMT too =) Its nice to get away from the ricers and mix with nasty fast domestics and imports alike.. JUst watch out for the dark green VR4 or the z28 camaro... Gtboys34 06-10-2003, 11:56 AM yeah, its alot dowtown(birmingham, al) but i never get to go down there b/c my bro is always trippin on me. Crrrrrrrappp, cant wait until i get my freakin own car. That apexi exhaust is sure gonna sound good, I can hear it now...........*woooooooom whaaaaaaaaaammmmmmm* g0stx 06-10-2003, 01:45 PM I am being stationed at rucker.. Is there anything in that area (Dothan)? NoS1620 06-10-2003, 08:13 PM I live in a big town, Omaha, Nebraska but for some odd reason the street racing is very light here you only see a street race here once in a while vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
