So, today, Im trying to make this greenlight and i punch it, drive alittle ways and pull into the shopping center parking lot and park and I notice smoke pouring out from under the hood on the drivers side (not the front but the side of the hood). Strong smell of antifreeze. Decided to drive the car back home. smelled anti freeze a little on the drive home but the car was not smoking when i got home. The car did not get hot at all on the drive 3 miles home.

Did I break something? smoke and antifreeze smell cant be good.

Have you looked for a leak? Pressure test the cooling system and see what shows up.

Visually look for leak.
Look at the antifreeze tank and watch for the fluid level.
DO NOT OPEN WHEN HOT. It can be pressurised.

If no leak, start the engine, turn on the A/C, be sure that both fan are running strong.

There is 6 things that could have happened:
- leak (check gasket and hose)
- broken fan
- broken pump
- wrong ratio of anti-freeze and water, causing it to boil at a colder point than normally
- System pressure loss. The higher the pressure, the higher the boiling point. (water boil at room temperature in a vaccum)
- faulty thermostat. (could stick)

Like the guys said, you have to find the source of the leak first....then determine what caused it to leak.......
