Ever since I got my drag gen III turbo kit installed people always trying to race me. But I know that I can beat most people so I don't even bother. But yesterday on my way home from work I was at a light just chillin. And this dude suited up pulled up to me in a WRX!! I was like OH YEAH...so I started staring at him and he looked back at me and I reved my engine. He didn't know I had a turbo so he probably thought he was going to trash me....So he reved back and looked forward. So the light turned green and I let the clutch go at 2500 RPMs. the wheels chirped and I was off. That dam WRX spools fast and he got the jump on me almost a full car length, but once my drag turbo started spooling I started gaining on him REALLY fast. I was shifting at 6200 RPMS and just kept pulling on him. By the time we reached the next lkight I was about 1.5 car lenghts ahead of him!!!! The streets in New jersey are long and the speed limits are 50 mph. I just looked at him and smiled. He was trying to ask what I had under the hood but I rolled up my tinted windows and turned my air conditioner on..LOL. He tried to launch again, but I just ignored him and got on the expressway.....ANOTHER HONDA KILL!!!!! My stuff does quarter mile in 13.3 sec. How he think he was going to beat me in a stock WRX?????

ok so you launch at 2500 rpms in a TURBO integra and you shift at 6200rpms in a TURBO integra. if you beat him you should be able to kill him if you run that car to it's full potential.

well...I thought WRX's were suppose to be all fast and crap. Keep in mind that the light wasn't that far away either....wasn't even a quarter mile away. I did manage to get to 3rd gear at 55 mph....not a real race...but still killed another NON Honda car...That was the whole point.!!!!! I bet I could trash your little CRX.....WHAT!!!!!!

you have the classic symptoms of a keyboard warrior. i hope you can get help soon:licker: and again shift outta 2nd at 55. ithink the ls tranny has longer gears than that because i can get to 60 before i shift outta 2nd with my si tranny.

Sounds to me like you're a little insecure about your car even though it's fast. 95civic never said anything about him beating you so why do you have to get all defensive ? I'm not really surprised you beat a WRX I mean they are fast but if your teg is turbo then of course you're gonna take him. My question is if you're so upsessed with beating the guy why didn't you just smoke him completely because I'm sure you could have done a lot better.

If you are running like 8 PSI your are probably doin like 250 HP. The WRX has 227 and AWD which takes away A LOT of power. You should be able to make him crap his pants. Well, eventually you'll learn how to drive with a turbo setup. Good thing it wasn't an STI, cuz then he would beat you!!!

i dunno bout 250. that'd be over 120 hp from jus 8 psi. considering the ls could handle up to 12 psi, then he'd put down that number...so wut psi are u running LS? any other mod's to ur car?

I agree 100% although I rubbed a race in a guy's face one time and that was b/c he said that " I could never get beat by an integra" so I let him have a 75hp dose of N20 :D BTW it was a wrx also.

Why are you guys speaking down to wrx's? No need for this. Turbo GSR's are really fast, i had a turbo Type R i know. therefore, why race a stock wrx. If you want a real race, race a modified one. Its only fear guys. I can give a gsr a supra spank, just bring it on ladies.

I don't know what to make of this thread. The first guy talking about how hes shifting at 62, launching at 25. He says the streets of NJ are long, but (to my understanding) the race only went to like 55-60 mph? He was in THIRD gear??? My Accord hits 60 in 2nd!:confused:

Then some other guy jumps in the post talking like he was riding shotgun or somethin. He says the street you were on wasn't even a 1/4 light to light. And the guy wont even enlighten the poor confused WRX driver! Give your turbo to loesch. Better yet, give it to me! I'll find it a nice home *ching ching*!:thefinger

Yea a 60 shot. Crappy 60' time though 2.555 I should be able to run around 13.8-14.0 acorrding to my trap speed , but my stock tires were crap so we will see later this year:biggrin:

I know i can't go up against a wrx, i tried with my friend (it was embarrasing) but fun part was he was driving my car and i was driving his wrx. u can say i pretty much whooped my own ass. :thefinger

i presently have:
SS header (4-2-1)
dual exhaust (cat back)
chipped to remove limiter (brother put it in, so i hope to go it means speed limiter and not fuel cutoff for high rpm, dont wanna see my engine on hte front yard)
racing clutch
short shifter
17 inch rims (kumo ecsta)

Word to the wise...Don't revive threads older than about 5 days. This one isn't too bad, but just be mindful. It really irks some of the guys here (myself included) when a 3 week, or 3 month old thread is brought back by a newbie or anybody else for that matter. It probably woulda been better to start a new thread for this.

But since you asked, you might as well get CAI to complete the standard i/h/e setup for starters.

Do you have dual exhaust as in two separate mufflers or just dual exhaust tips? Cuz if you have two muffler, it aint helpin you any at this point. Just dead weight.
