1992 G30 Sportvan Blower trouble

Just recently I lost the blower on my van. No movement at all, any speed, heat or A/C. It did return briefly one day for a few minutes and has been dead for 4 days now.

Tracing the system, I find no current up at the blower switch. Not sure which wire is supposed to be the hot lead but all are dead. No current at the blower motor. I did find the purple wire connector at the relay partially melted but not totally destroyed yet. It has no current, nor do any other leads on the relay. I opened up the relay case and everything inside appears fine. The fuse for the system is also fine.

Does anyone know where this purple wire comes from or goes to? I don't have a wiring diagram for this vehicle. I'm losing current somewhere.

Thanks,
Jim

On further diagnosis, the blower motor works with 12v applied. The red wire on the relay has 12v. The blue, orange and two black wires on the relay are not getting current from wherever they come from. The two resistor units in the plenum are fine. Still no power at the switch on the dash.

Brown wire heater AC fuse feeds power to blower switch on brown wire to it.

Purple blower motor wire gos to relay.

No power on the brown wire at the switch. Fuse tested ok with ohm meter. Is there anything in the system between the fuse aand the switch?

The brown is between them.
Did the fuse have 12 volts on both sides?

If voltage both sides of fuse turn fuse box over and check for 12n volts on brown wire on under side.
If voltage there trace brown wire to switch or run a new wire between fuse and switch and cut old wire out of circut.

Fuse block is hot on the right side of fuse. With fuse in place, no voltage up to switch. Also, no continuity found with meter between left side of fuse and switch.

Will check back side of fuse block next. Also will trace wire. From the switch it goes into a tape wrapped harness under the radio which heads over to the passenger side somewhere. This is why I was wondering if there was another component in between the switch and the fuse. Will post my findings.

Thanks,
Jim
