So i got a code from the computer saying my camshaft pos. sensor was bad. It took me a few weeks but i just replaced it yesterday when the car stopped running all together. After replacing it the car started just fine, idled just fine and ran fine. Three hours later i went to start it again and it was idling very rough and running hard. i put it in drive thinking it would clear up and the car stalled. It has not started since and the check engine light is not on for me to get a code from it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Could the Cam Pos. Sensor be defective from the parts store? could it be something else now and just be showing the same symptoms as before? HELP PLEASE

If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure.

Check the cam and crank sensor for ref voltage--ground and signal. As you can see in the diagram, the cam sensor shares ref voltage and ground with several other sensors.
