it is going to cost me $67.50 from my local asshol err I mean dealer to get my service engine soon light shut off because a high school drop out at a full service gass station does not know how to tighten down the gass cap.

I'd see if you can't get it to clear on your own. It should clear after several starts, and if that doesn't get it you can try disconnecting the + terminal of the battery for half an hour. If that doesn't get it, then I suppose you can bend over and let the dealer stick it to you.

I'm with Brent on this one - either disconnect the battery or just wait for it to shut off by itself. My gas cap obviously doesn't seal very well, I've had my light on for a few weeks now. It came on and then went off a couple times when I got gas, but it has stayed on for a while now and I think the cap is just faulty.

Mine light came on one time when I forgot to tighten the cap. After 3 starts/trips around town it went off. No worries:smoka:
