Son of a BitchAntitree_hugger 11-08-2001, 11:42 AM it is going to cost me $67.50 from my local asshol err I mean dealer to get my service engine soon light shut off because a high school drop out at a full service gass station does not know how to tighten down the gass cap. :zx11pisse OffroadX 11-08-2001, 02:13 PM I'd see if you can't get it to clear on your own. It should clear after several starts, and if that doesn't get it you can try disconnecting the + terminal of the battery for half an hour. If that doesn't get it, then I suppose you can bend over and let the dealer stick it to you. Brent Philosopher 11-08-2001, 03:27 PM I'm with Brent on this one - either disconnect the battery or just wait for it to shut off by itself. My gas cap obviously doesn't seal very well, I've had my light on for a few weeks now. It came on and then went off a couple times when I got gas, but it has stayed on for a while now and I think the cap is just faulty. xterra2k 11-08-2001, 03:43 PM Mine light came on one time when I forgot to tighten the cap. After 3 starts/trips around town it went off. No worries:smoka: Antitree_hugger 11-08-2001, 03:55 PM heheh it went off for a little while today (I did not know it would reset) oh well Ben xterra2k 11-08-2001, 03:57 PM Mine light came on one time when I forgot to tighten the cap.
