helpJim_McQueen 05-29-2003, 02:10 PM the ignition is fine also Flatrater 05-29-2003, 11:17 PM So whats your problem??? Jim_McQueen 05-30-2003, 04:07 PM Ok, I own a 1987 ford country squire. "go ahead and laugh" I bought it for $1,000.00 almost a year ago. When I bought it, the following were brand new: radiator starter exhaust system rebuilt engine alternator fuel tank fuel pump The car only has 109,000 miles! That's still low for a 1987 wagon. Now I went and got the transmission rebuilt not too long ago. Here's the problem now. The car won't start unless you cross-wire the solenoid. So I went and got a new solenoid. Still you have to cross-wire it. What should I look for?????????:( pcv 05-31-2003, 02:58 PM At the solenoid, there is a small starter ignition wire, make sure you have power there when the ignition is cranked. If you have no power there, it could be the ignition switch that is bad. Flatrater 05-31-2003, 09:35 PM Dude you do realize there is a Ford forum on this site and you are in a GM forum! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
