Car shows are pointlessFourG63 97GST 05-29-2003, 01:18 AM yea I think its pointless, and yes there are exceptions. like cars that really has performance to go with it. or like Detroit Auto show, thats understandable but the other car shows, the way I see it. you are building your car to impress other people. why would someone want to do that? then you have these 3 guys (using 3 as an example) judging your car. they probably took the bus to get to the show. who's them to judge your car? yea it just another opinion, everybody has one. so what your reason for going to those other car shows? I just want more opinions on this,i'm not trying to be anti show car or anything(actually I am but dont tell anyone :D ) TexasF355F1 06-20-2003, 03:48 PM Okay, this is an old thread but i had to share my thoughts. You've got a real misconception of what car shows are all about. The true car enthusiasts that attend car shows, be it truck shows, ricer shows, performance shows, etc are there to not only show their car but to also check out the amazing rides of other people. Granted you will run into the assholes who think their ride is the best thing since sliced bread but those people are a dime a dozen. The majority of people I run into at the truck shows are open to talk trucks, you give compliments and you'll get compliments. Some are even nice enough if you show an interest in their truck/car to let you take closer pics of the interior and such. Of course car shows are not everyones thing but their definately not pointless. sp3cial_bl3nd 07-29-2003, 12:33 PM this dude's a narrowminded idiot...... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
