today at work my car started doing this. what its doing is making the sound of the signal light at a rly high rate of speed when its not on but when i go to turn it on left or right it makes the normal pace sound. same as when ive turned on my foreways. i also figured out that if i push my foreway button about a qautar to half way in the noise stopes totaly.
any help would be handy

I have this same issue issue in my mother in laws 04 grand am gt....any ideas anyone? I figure it would be either the relay or the multifunction switch.

your multifunction switch (the arms) on the steering is dirty.
I fixed mine by removing it and spraying a generous amount of contact cleaner inside.
If you remove it, beware of the airbag wire, and the horn pin when you put it back in.

yeah that was the problem, I cleaned it and it worked. I did a search and found other threads that said to clean it before replacing it.

something with the grand am in specifics is the hazard relays, connected to the button/switch, were prone to going out w/factory relays.
Replacements dont do this. :2cents:
