Now I have my AEM CAI on, ran 25 PSI on my 17's and managed several in the low 10.3's last night. Thats 1/10 faster than stock. I'm happy, about what I expected with intake and exhaust only, with 17's. My mph went up from stock around 65 to 68 also, wish I could run a 1/4 mile track to tell the difference. This car seems to come alive around those speeds...

a 10.3 in the 1/8th is about a high 15 second run in the 1/4...


Seems with 25psi you should be making a crap load more power... With that much boost i'd assume you'd be into the low 14s... if not touching 13s...

Sorry dude, I wasn't real clear. I was running 25 PSI in my front tires, which are 17's...I wish I was turbo, not yet...There were several turbo'd civics and integras though, they all ran between 9.5 and 10...I just have intake and exhaust, for now. Only had the car for 3 months.

So a turbo civic or integra boosted runs 9.5 to 10 in the 1/8? KInda sad.

I think something might be wrong with the turbo integras b/c my car runs 9.2's in the 1/8 and thatis with a 2.555 60' time! And yeah 10.3 is around 15.9-16.1 1/4 mile.

that is pretty sad man. i ran a 9.585 in the 1/8 an thas w/ only i/h/e. i don't really see how BOOSTED teg's an vic's were running those types of numbers. u sure it was that high of a number?

Yep, thats it. Course we are in TN. There is a spot on there that shows it at lower alltitudes and my 10.3 is like a 9.8-9.9 at lower alltitudes...

I have a buddy with a LS in a Civic with just I/H/E and he runs 9.4 at the same track! All the turbo'd cars have trouble with traction and of all the ones I've seen so far, none know how to drive on a track yet. They spin and keep mashing the gas, I told one guy to lower his 40 PSI in his tires to like at least 25 and he said why? I couldn't get him to understand to stop spinning on take off and through 2nd gear...

if u get ur car down to 9.8 in the 1/8th, u should hit mid 15's. the ludes have nice low end, but the mid range an top, are pretty weak. no offense...jus saying the times/reason. try running w/ 15's instead of 17's...that alone will get u a tenth of a second.

Thats what I figured. I'm going to sell my rims this summer and get some rota's either 15 or 16...That should get me down another 10th...

yea...we figured that out for HIS car, but he was saying there were turbo'd vic's an tegs that werent' running very quick times cuz they couldn't get traction.

civicex, i'd jus buy some 15 in steelies an then put some DOT drag radials on them.

Well, Now that I read the original post.. I can see where I goofed... he does actually say 25psi in his tires... I just saw 25psi and assumed Turbo..

I don't understand what you mean about ludes being good on the bottom and weak on mid to top end. The ludes don't come alive till 3rd gear...they are heavy to move off the line. I get beat by tegs and civics off the line everytime I pull on them and beat them by mid 3rd gear...Most of the time I get into a race, its on the interstate, I've not lost to a civic or integra yet, haven't raced a GSR yet though. I have raced all civics, including 99-00 SI's, accords, hatchbacks and have beaten all...I've also had my ass handed to me, but not by a civic or teg, yet...can't wait till one beats me, I enjoy losing to a good car as well as winning...

ah...well thas cuz u've prolly raced ls's which have nice 1st an 2nd acceleration. but top of 2nd an all of 3rd in a gsr will pull ur car if those are the times u are puttin down. this is jus based off of the ludes that i have raced is all.

ur car should be alrite down low, considering the torque advantage u have over a gsr...that was the basis of my comments.

btw...unless u race a swapped civic, then its not going to be a problem...(N/A)

Yep, what I figured. I would love to run a GSR, so see the difference. I have raced a B16 CRX, won on the interstate, got spanked bad off the light though. She put like 2-3 cars on me fast, I was reeling her in after 50, but had to slow down due to traffic.
