2000 v6 camaro

Ok so i charge my ac to the correct pressure, works fine blows really cold air vie taken 10 hr drives and it work fine the entire time doesn't loose any pressure. After the car is turned off for a few hours all the r134a leaks out. Haven't got a uv light to see where Yet anyone have any idea where it would be leaking from since it only does it when the car is off

if all the refrigerent leaks out you must be able to see the oilon the ac piping or at the compressor shaft seal..did you install the pag 150 oil ...if it has leaked this bad you will need to add at least 4oz of this oil.

how long did you vacuum pump the system ? pressurize the system and spray soapy water on the ac components/fittings.
to reveal leaks...condenser coil at front of vehicle can get damaged from rocks etc...

Compressor shaft seal is number one location for leak, compressor belly is number two.....compressor is resealable- kits available online, and tools available-- but most opt for new compressor-

Confirm leak area first- look for the drips and spray pattern outside of clutch on compressor.

Well put uv die in it but no luck with that couldn't find any leaks but It was finally quiet and I can hear it leaking from the compressor when the car is off and if i spin the compressor clutch the hissing sound gets faint/loud depending on where I turn it which would explain why it doesn't seem to leak when it running but leaks rapidly when car is off cant figure why the die isn't showing

You definitely have a worn out shaft seal- those single lip seals do that-- double lip seals were not OEM until 2002 model year....

The dye will eventually show itself-- you need the black light and UV glasses to see it good though....

If it were mine, I'd reseal it- but I do them all the time...It would be tough for a newbie to get it right on the first one- and have to have the proper tools as well.
