2001 Grand Am se 4dr won't start

today was first cold morning of the year. car didn't turn over but head lights dome light and radio came on. attempted a jump start, after about 5 min of waiting car started. took cables off and car died. headlights are dim but still go on when key is turned dome light still as bright as ever. radio reset to 1200 and is static. when key is turned, no noise like its trying to start help

you seems to have a dead battery. Mesure the voltage to confirm that the voltage is low. Then charge the battery. Once charged, disconnect the charger and try to start the car.

Once you tried starting, mesure again the voltage.

If it failed and the voltage is higher than around 12.5V then you have a starter issue.

If it started, ensure that you have atleast 13V at the battery. If you do not then you have an alternator issue.
