My 1999 pontiac grand AM SE came on after I reversed out a ditch. And my lo coolant light came on. So I went straight to te gas station and brought some Peak antifreeze/coolant. I cut the car off and put the coolant in the coolant tank. The tank had little coolant in it already. So now I start the car up and the low coolant comes back on. If any can give me some advice Please let me know. Is it could to drive with the low coolant light on.

1) Check coolant level when cold.
2) When the car is at normal operating Temp are you getting Heat?
3) Are you using the right color coolant?

First of, check again your tank. if it's still low it mean you have a leak.

If you have a leak then you MUST fix it, else you risk doing expensive damage to the engine if you run out of coolant.

However there is a possibility that the float in the tank got stuck in the low position, falselly triggering the light.

I Checked the coolant. The coolant didn't get low and the vehicle get good heat when I'm driving. I used the peak full strength coolant. Should get a radiator flush or chAnge the coolant sensor. Cause I dint think I have An leak.

Prestone Green cannot be mixed with orange, however they do make a prestone extended life that canbe mixed with any color.
Coolant should be mixed 50/50 with distilled water.

1) Check rubber hoses, and water pump for leaks, and repair as needed.
If no leaks, consider Metallic block seal after flush with clean water, so you don't have to chase coolant leaks.
2) Add Metallic Block seal and water until full.
3) Idle for 15-30min with heater on max.
4) drain
5) let set for 24hr's with radiator cap off.
6) Add 50/50 coolant/water until full.

If money isn't a issue, consider a new thermostat, and water pump, because of age + mileage.
