94 Transmission Replacementsullimt 05-23-2003, 07:46 AM I am in the process of putting in a new transmission in my 94 Intrepid, and I got stuck with the CV joint removal, in the process of taking off the hub, I put a puller on the hub to get it out like the Chilton's Manual says. I tried using a small puller with a small impact and didn't budge. So then I go for the BIG puller with a medium size impact and the thing still didn't budge. I was wondering if anybody knows if I'm actually supposed to take them things off, and if so how in the heck do I get them things off??? Thanks mrwilde 05-28-2003, 10:20 AM Im not really sure how to. But I know of a place that will have the answer for you. DODGEINTREPID.NET (http://www.dodgeintrepid.net) tdawg 01-10-2004, 04:06 PM to drop the transmition, you don't have to take the halfshaft out, we just disconected the stearing nuckle from the strut, and might have to discunect it from the ball joint, support it, and pry the joint off of the trany. Worked great for me. terry4 08-19-2005, 11:48 AM I am in the process of putting in a new transmission in my 94 Intrepid, and I got stuck with the CV joint removal, in the process of taking off the hub, I put a puller on the hub to get it out like the Chilton's Manual says. Thanks When I did mine, I destoyed a very good wheel puller and a local garage used a 20 ton press which also destroyed the wheel beearing. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
