stupid stratus!

Lol ok well I haven't had my 01 dode stratus 3.0 24 valve vehicle for a year and I started having so many problems...im a girl and know nothing! I've replaced all the belts water pump starter battery. Tune up plugs wires tires oil fluids and now im still having problems! Ok does anyone know if this would be a iac how the heck do u test this on a dodge car? Ok when I start it the rpms are between 1 and 2 then it idles down to a little over 1 when I drive ok now if I drive on the freeweay or a long distance then I come to a stop the cars rpms drop almost to where it shuts off its shut off a few times but rarely does when it does it starts right back up but anyways they drop then work there way back up close to 1 trhen drop again until I go sometimes when it changes gear the rpms rev up real high then come back down what the heck is going please help im so scared to drive my car but its all I have and I don't have a lot of money bc its sucked me dry so please someone tell me how to test the iac or what else it could possibly be! I bought a dodge book for my car so I know where most stuff is bc I been searching for a darn solution!

unless you bought a factory service manual and a real scanner, not much you'll be able to do to fix this.... except maybe hook up with a dodge mechanic (I'd volunteer but live to far)

have you retrieved any codes? things like an EGR valve, vacuum leak, transmission issues, can cause your problem.
