05 stratus rev limiter, timing belt change

i recently changed the timing belt and water pump on my 05 stratus with a 2.4L, X engine. everything went fine, however, afterwards the rev limiter (I assume there is one) wont allow the car to rev above 3500 rpm. is there something i forgot to do or how can i correct this problem.

just had engine checked out w/ snap on analyzer, said crankshaft - camshaft misalignment; must be off a tooth or two. have to re-install timing belt. no fun.

did re-install timing belt, was one tooth off on each camshaft sprocket, however the new instructions i used to install the belt had different diagram. no problems now, everything fine.
