Hey guys, i have a 2001 g/a 4 cyl pos. Its very hard to start, you have to keep your foot on the gas to start it and as soon as you let off the gas pedal it dies. Just replaced the idle air control and fuel pump. Also took the cat off to see if it was pluged and ran it with out the cat and still the same. Also just replaced the spark plugs and the first 2 plugs had oil all over them and in the valley area, that was about 2 months ago an was hard to start but would start and stay running. the car idels at 500-600. any ideas with whats wrong? Thanks

check the throtle position sensor to make sure it is within spec. the computer needs the signal from it to know how to set the pulse width on the injectors.

You should see if the PCM have any code stored in it.

Also, are you sure that it's oil and not fuel? If it's oil then it's a very bad sign...

Also, does it make smoke out of the tailpipe when it run? or run clean?

Im sure its oil in the spark plug valley, i was told that its the seals between the valve cover and the head, valve cover grommets but the part guy from chevy said they dont have those in the pontiac motor for my car. The spark plug wells fill up with oil and i cant find out where its coming from. It first puts out blue smoke then it turns black and smells like gas. It finally threw a check engine light but the prob now is we cant affod to buy a scanner and cant afford the tow either. Im prettyV stuck up that creek rite now.

Fix your oil problem first.
