Hello,

I just recently aquired a '65 Impala 2dr coupe(not SS) from my uncle. The car has been sitting in his garage for 15 years. Problem is the frame has snapped. Now instead of having it welded and what not I was think I would find a junker and use the frame for a frame swap. What do you think of that idea. Also what years are the same frame as the '65? I know '64 and lower aren't the same but what about '66, '67, '68?

Thanks!

Your best bet is to do a straight swap. Find and old parts car and switch them out. While doing that, be sure to prep the frame to prevent future rust. It is a fairly inexpensive step to save on future repairs and worries. I've seen a couple that were powder-coated, they looked pretty sweet.
