Wiper Switch ProblemaccordGirL91 05-14-2003, 03:15 PM I just replaced my old broken wiper switch with another one on my 92 Civic Hatch, and when I turned on the car the switch was off, but the wipers where going. I then turned it to Hi and it stopped working all together. They work if I use the mist. I even installed my old one and it wont turn on or off with the OFF LO and HI. What could be wrong? I checked all my fuses under the dash and didn't see any popped fuses. I don't want to take it to Honda and pay big bucks for them just to look at it and tell me whats wrong. Thanks! wheel1856 05-14-2003, 09:05 PM sumthin's in backwards. check your wires and the switch. my guess. accordGirL91 05-15-2003, 12:08 AM I have a CX so there is only one plug and it can only go in the one way. Thanks for the help though. lorunner 05-16-2003, 06:52 PM i gues this wasn't the same thing that the old switch did? did you put in a used switch if its used and the wipers are doing something diffferent try a new switch. accordGirL91 05-19-2003, 03:46 PM Thanks for the help. Yes the switch was a used one I got at a wrecking yard. I opened it up yesterday, and found that the plastic piece that moves the contection when you turn the wipers on and off was broken. So I guess I have to find another switch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
