Just swapped a b16 into my buddy's 93 cx hatch and there's some kind of suspension/axle problem. Whenever I turn the car about 45 degrees either direction (worse when turning right) the car makes a sort of clicking noise and seems to lift and drop slightly like something is out of round. It also kind of seems like it's dragging until i get the wheel straighter, when it becomes fine. I put 94+ gsr knuckles, axles, and brakes (rotors, calpers, and pads) on it when i did the swap. The one thing that is not 94+ GSR is the passenger side axle, which is 90-93 teg, because i got for free for him off my lifetime warranty and i heard it was the same axle. I know the clicking is not the cv's because they're brand new, everything is, except the hubs and calipers. I also know the axles are all the way in because there's no MTF leak at all. Could the 90-93 axle just be the wrong length? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance guys.

I'm assuming it's the 2nd gen B16(sirII). In that case you use the 94+ LS axels. I'm not sure if there is a difference between the GSR and LS but that's what I've used and never had a problem. I'm pretty sure that the 90-93 axel is the prob. Goodluck!!!:D

Thanks alot B16EJ1. I think that 90-93 axle is what's causing my grief too. I'm about to change that badboy out. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

Well I tried switching the axle out and the problem remained. I also noticed now that it clicks just as bad when I turn to the left and it also only does it when the car is in gear and the clutch is not engaged. This leads me to believe that it's the transmission (which is LSD) that is my problem. Anybody have any ideas? (preferably something other than the tranny) Thanks in advance.

Had the same problem on my Z6. Let me guess, when you push in the clutch, the clicking stops and when you let it out there it is again. It's some bearing in there. You need to take it apart. I suggest you change the clutch too. The longer you drive it like that the more you kill your clutch.
