I would like to know if any other BMW models use the same differential as an 84' 318i. I can't find a 318 at any local auto wrekers and if another model like the 320 or something uses the same diff it would help me out in finding one.

You don't have to use the exact same diff as what you originally had.... a different diff could improve the performance of your car.
