Im thinking the colour of the extractors could have been like a blue/bronxe colour, to give it the Titanium look. Kerbie 05-07-2003, 12:46 AM BRAVO!!! OMG. that is amazing!! looks like you got the photo-etch kit as well. Great work man. Thats amazing. I wish my first engine came out like that. i'll post pick when i get a camera. SupercarFreak 05-07-2003, 01:00 AM thanks for the comments all! koffee, what part of the car do you mean? the tinfoil? if it was blue/bronze it would be unrealistic but i did paint my calipers red and that's unrealistic, but i think it looks better :sun: Mainomega 05-07-2003, 01:04 AM Thats a nice looking engine. What type of decals did you use for the carbon ? Or did you paint it on using Tamiya's way ? Nice job SupercarFreak 05-07-2003, 01:07 AM Thanks. I used scale motorsports' 1/43 pewter carbon fiber decals and Solvaset , a decal setting solution! Do keep us updated. primera man 05-07-2003, 05:31 AM Great effort for your first engine. Can you tell us what is going on with the tin-foil look on the exhaust  Decs0105 05-07-2003, 05:38 AM very good !!!! hrmodeler 05-07-2003, 05:56 AM Looking very nice. Nice wiring! You just needed to remove some molding lines and pin marks. :) CADguy 05-07-2003, 07:09 AM Nice work. Very true to the 1:1. Some antiqueing/weathering on the exhaust pipes would make it look more realistic IMO. PMan - the foil heat shields are on the 1:1 Enzo http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/479768Enzo_motore_02_780b.jpg SupercarFreak 05-11-2003, 08:59 PM thanks for the comments i will add more wires when i get to the radiators and rear shocks :flash: Pug 05-11-2003, 09:05 PM that looks so, so nice man irupp33 05-11-2003, 09:18 PM pretty clean. Pman dont you look at reference photos when building your models? Not usually :p DavidG 05-12-2003, 01:58 PM how you guys can get that carbon fiber decal in the cam heads, and the intake. i always either break it, or ends up being too much :( bigfrit 05-12-2003, 02:31 PM It's another awesome build-up from an awsome modeler from an awesome car ! Props to you, you're doing a great job ! Olivier;) SupercarFreak 05-12-2003, 10:32 PM thanks Olivier!!! :ylsuper DavidG, try to cut the decal close enough in size and use a decal setting solution and a paintbrush to try to help the decal move into place and then let the solution do the rest!! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
