Looks Good for only $2Cheechman7 10-30-2001, 07:58 PM First of all i'd like to say, the 2002 dashes deffidently look much better then that the 00 01. ok hers the deal, i got the idea from a fellow x owner but now everyone can see. a cool look is coloring the interior all one color of your choice...looks good at night... simply remove the bulbs from inside the lights that turn on and off with the opening of doors. take a permanent marker of your color choice, color them and let the lights glow to your color...looks very cool...i used blue... Snoopy 10-30-2001, 08:29 PM Great idea, I colored mine white! :D Schludwiller 10-30-2001, 10:44 PM Someone will make a fortune if they figure out how to make those little bulbs emit black-light. Glowing people inside your truck. :D Snoopy 11-02-2001, 11:47 AM I actually did the color thing for the map lights - red works for me. It reminds me of the control room on the submarine during night ops. The red is actually quite functional because the light is no longer blinding and you can still read by it. I searched in the p/n section but didn't see anything. Are they just a standard? I don't have a local NAPA Auto anymore, so it's Track Auto for my sorry ass. I couldn't add the picture to my previous post and I couldn't delete it, why is that schuld? Anyways... here's the picture of the package for the bulbs. rrdstarr 11-28-2001, 08:36 PM I got the same thing at Shuck's for $1.99. They worked great this weekend going to and from Eastern WA, driving in a blinding snow storm and glancing at the map! Anyways... here's the picture of the package for the bulbs. You can only edit a image upload post if it was done in the original post. When you say you couldn't delete the post, do you mean the delete checkbox is gone from your edited messages now? That might be true. Igor turned off editing for Matt after he screwed my post. It might have been applied to all but Xterra moderators. We'll see how that goes. Personally I don't like people deleting the top message of a thread and it all disappears. If there is a double post or something you want taken out, just drop me a PM, and I'll fix it. S-works 11-30-2001, 12:01 PM Originally posted by Goliath the X sorry, forgot to upload the picture. Thanks again Goliath, that will be my project this weekend, since my painted map lights are now worthless! Snoopy 12-03-2001, 02:07 AM One of the red map light bulbs already burned out after only one month! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
